About Us, Our Trainer, Our Training Model

NOT BEING AGILE IS NO MORE AN OPTION

AgileTraining.co

Making Agile adoption easy for organizations by changing the way Agile training is delivered.

Traditional Agile courses were all about getting certifications;
Our training programs focus on developing an “Agile Mind”.

Our Training Philosophy

Learning Agile should not just be about achieving a certification. It is about realizing that there is a better way to succeed in today’s business environment. It is with this awareness that you can accomplish more for your team and for your clients.

At AgileTraining.Co, we understand the importance of the “Spirit of Agile” and have designed our training programs to help every attendee develop an “Agile Mind”. We don’t believe in developing “Mindsets”. Having your “Mind” be “Set” implies a lack of flexibility, a resistance to future adaptation, and that is contrary to what Agile is all about.

Our Training Approach

Our training programs are grounded in practical techniques, hands-on workshops and best practices that add real value to an Individual , a Team and an Organization.

The Spirit of Agile starts at the individual level. Our training programs and subsequent coaching enable every attendee to understand the core principles and values behind Agile and what it means to be Agile in action and thought.

Our team-based trainings enable members of specific working groups to learn how to use their individual Agility while collaborating with others in achieving challenging goals. They also learn how to manage and flourish within the interconnected roles and systems.

When it comes to organizations, our focus is on leadership training. Most organizations are run by knowledge workers and our leadership training programs teach traditional management how to become Agile Leaders who can lead the knowledge workers.

What companies are saying about our Agile Programs

An Agile Expert Certified Training class was recently conducted here at the USPS Wilkes-Barre Solutions Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The training was a three-day class conducted from 04-20-15 through 04-22-15. Our class consisted of 16 employees, most were developers, a few Business Systems Analysts, and two Business Project Leaders. The 16 students came to class with an array of different Agile backgrounds, some with very little Agile experience or exposure. After he discovered that the students were of varying degrees of the understanding of Agile, Gourab essentially restructured the class to ensure that each student was able to receive the maximum benefit of the three-day class. The Agile instructor Gourab Nanda did a really fine job instructing the class was given the varying Agile backgrounds of the class. The students were kept quite busy during all three days. All 16 students furnished me with verbal high words of praise for Gourab. I would state that given the comments that I received from the students and Gourab that the three-day class was indeed very successful. I would personally recommend Gourab to teach Agile Certified Training to all of the USPS Solution Centers or any Corporation utilizing the Agile Expert Certified Methodologies.

I wanted to thank you for the extremely successful training sessions. Your classes have caused a lot of excitement at all levels within Farragut. The teams are already implementing good changes for the correct reasons.  The teams have a new understanding of why and have a new sense of autonomy.

Taking the Scrum Master training was a great experience that allowed my team and others in our organization to learn the fundamental of the Scrum/Agile methodology. This course was very interactive and the instructor was very engaged in understanding our organization’s needs. Overall I would recommend this course to anyone that is interested in learning and applying these concepts in their daily work.

QUOTES FROM OUR CHIEF AGILE TRAINER

  • Agile or Agility has nothing to do with technology, but if you are a technology professional you better be an agile person.
  • Value is always a function of time and context. What is valuable to you today may not be valuable to you tomorrow.
  • Your product is only as agile as your product manager.
  • There are no agile processes. There are only agile people. The processes, like Scrum, that we call agile are designed to create an environment where teams can become more agile.
  • A finished product is a dead product.
  • Don’t try to become agile. Just stop being rigid.
  • The better the training, the easier the coaching.
  • Delivering value is, first, a personal agenda.
  • Every company is agile to some extent, but we are always working to improve our agility. There is no such thing as 100% agile.
  • A Scrum Certification does not make you a Scrum Master.
